What you owe, handled.
Forward an invoice to your bills address and AI reads the payee, amount and due date into a queue. Your approval chain signs off (batch-approve a whole payment run in one click), pay-by dates are computed from when the money must ARRIVE, and staff or contractor payments group to your semi-monthly cycle automatically. Marking a bill paid is not a checkbox – it clears accounts payable and hits the right bank account in QuickBooks or Curfew Books.
Available by request. Start a workspace and ask us for it, and we'll set it up with you and tell you what it costs for a team your size.

How it works
- 1
Let the bills arrive
Forward the invoice and it is read for the payee, the amount and the terms. Net 30 becomes a real due date rather than two words in a PDF.
- 2
Approve it
The same approval chain as everything else, and approving posts the accounting — so an approved bill is already on the books rather than waiting for somebody to key it in twice.
- 3
Pay it on the right day
Every bill carries a pay-by date worked back from when it must land: the arrival buffer you set, then the lead time for how you are paying, in business days. Bills group into runs on the 15th and month end.
Not when it is due — when you have to press send for it to arrive on time.
Common questions
The person who enters bills should not be the person who pays them.
They are separate permissions. Anyone with the app can enter and code a bill; marking one paid — which is what posts the settlement — is its own permission you grant deliberately.
Where does the money post?
On Curfew Books, approval accrues against a single accounts payable and marking paid moves it to the bank account you chose — remembered per payee, so the same vendor does not ask twice. If QuickBooks is your accounting system of record instead, it creates the bill and the payment there.
Can it actually send the money?
Through Mercury, yes — it initiates the payment, and Mercury still asks you to approve it there. Two hands on it is the point, not an obstacle; we never hold your bank details to begin with.
Bills is one app in Curfew Suite.
Use it on its own for as long as you like. If you ever add another, it shares the same login, the same bill and the same data underneath.
