Receipts in, reimbursements out.
Expense reporting the way it should work: drop a receipt (or email it in) and AI reads the merchant, amount, currency and category, filing a drafted line into the right week automatically. Mark lines billable or reimbursable with the rules enforced for you – contractor fees never bill, firm-covered projects never pass through. Approvers see AI-checked flags (mismatched amounts, duplicates, budget overruns) before they sign off, and approved reimbursements post straight to your accounting – QuickBooks or Curfew Books.
Available by request. Start a workspace and ask us for it, and we'll set it up with you and tell you what it costs for a team your size.
What you get
- Receipt-first: AI reads the file and drafts the line
- Weekly reports that match your timesheets – no naming, no ceremony
- Billable and reimbursable rules enforced server-side, not by memory
- Approvers get AI checks: duplicates, mismatches, budget overruns
- Approved reimbursables launch to QuickBooks Bills or Curfew Books
How it works
- 1
Drop the receipt in
Photograph it or forward the email. It is read for the date, the amount and the merchant, and arrives in your inbox as a line waiting to be filed rather than an attachment waiting to be typed.
- 2
Three decisions a line
Project, category, amount. Whether it is billable is decided by the rules — an internal project or a non-billable category cannot be billed to a client by accident, and when the answer is locked the line says why.
- 3
Approve it, and it lands
The last approver sees exactly what will post before they approve. Then the reimbursement becomes an approved bill on the next payment run, and the accounting posts with it — nothing sits waiting for somebody to remember it.
Approve it once, and the reimbursement is already a bill waiting on the next run.
Common questions
What happens to company-card spend?
It is recorded and never posted. The card feed owns the accounting for card spend, and posting it twice is a reconciliation somebody would spend a day undoing.
Where does the money actually post?
On Curfew Books, an accrual against accounts payable, and the bill is paid from Bills. If QuickBooks is your accounting system of record instead, it creates a bill there. Either way Curfew is where it was approved and what it says is the record.
One line is wrong but the rest is fine.
Send that line back on its own. It leaves the locked report and returns to the person who filed it, while everything else keeps going — because holding a whole month of somebody's expenses over one taxi is how expense tools get hated.
Expenses is one app in Curfew Suite.
Use it on its own for as long as you like. If you ever add another, it shares the same login, the same bill and the same data underneath.
